This was taken sometime in the months immediately following Monica's birth. I was transitioning the boys out of an afternoon nap and they were, well, very tired come 4:30 pm. One day they both passed out mid-play when I was out of the room. I'm so glad I grabbed this shot. Why does a mother's heart swell a little more with love when her kids are ASLEEP?!!!

I love all of your family shots - there are so few pictures of me in general (since I am the one taking them all) and VERY few with all 5 of us.

Are you sure they are asleep? I see two weapons there that they could have used to bop each other on the head...

It is so true how our hearts just melt when they are peacefully asleep. I often find myself when I check on them at night, getting choked up because I love them so much, and then the next morning, they are screaming "Mommy, I need this and that" and I wish my heart felt the same way, but unfortunatley, it doesnt.
My kids are getting older, but I still love to see their faces when they're asleep. We'll probably feel that way even when they're grown up. Remember that cute book, "I'll Love you Forever," when the Mom drives across town to rock her grown son while he's sleeping? :)
